Music Tuition
Applestone Recording & Training Studios (ARTS) provides a wide range of music tuition programs from our Torquay based music centre located at Applestone Music  & Sound.   

Tuition is provided by professional teachers and local musicians with many years of playing and performing experience. Our teachers include Rod Scott (guitar), Katie (bass & drums), Steve (guitar & beginning bass), Neil Reed (keyboard, piano, clarinet)  and Paul (keyboard, piano).  

You can elect to study on one of our national study programs, for example, Rockschool or just learn to play for fun. The choice is yours.

TUITION PRICE & AVAILABILITY
All tuition is priced at £10 per 1/2 hour session. Tuition fees are payable 1-week in advance to your teacher.

Music tuition covers classical through to contemporary and modern styles including rock and pop. We wlecome students of all ages from 7 years upwards. Currently tuition  covers the following instruments.
  • Electric Guitar (Rock, Pop, Blues)
  • Classical Guitar
  • Acoustic Guitar
  • Bass Guitar
  • Keyboard
  • Piano

BOOKS & INSTRUMENTS
To be able to study and  practice effectively you will need to have an instrument and study / tuition book. Your teacher can advise you as the best instrument for your preferred genre of music.

What ever instrument you elect to play, we can supply it at an attractive discount.  All students are eligable for a 10% discount after their 4th lesson with us and parents purchasing for chlidren at school should use the Applestone Music & Sound - Schools Assisted Instrument Purchasing Scheme to save up to 30% on equipment costs.
How to Book Tuition at ARTS
  • All lessons cost £10 per 1/2 hour session payable 1 week in advance
  • If you pass-by Applestone Music regularly simply pop into the shop and talk with Dave Collerton or Ainsley Fisher - we can advise you of times and teacher availability
  • Call Dave on 01803 297297 to book your lesson or series of lessons

Tuition is generally provided from 3.30pm through to 8.30pm as follows:

Guitar & Beginners Bass

Intermediate Bass

Keyboards & Piano

  • Thursday

Terms and Conditions - Music Tuition
Applestone Recording & Training Studios provide a professional music tuition service to clients and parents.  Tuition Fees are payable 1 week in advance so  your initial payment will be for two lessons - £20.  Thereafter you will pay just £10 per lesson.  Please pay your tutor for all lessons .

Cancellation - If you need to cancel your lesson you must do so at least 24 hours prior to your lesson. If you don't, you will lose your tuition fee for that week.  Please contact your tutor directly or if unable to reach him or her, contact Cathy at ARTS on 01803 297297
