Instrument Repairs, Re-Stringing & Customisation

Applestone Recording & Training Studios (ARTS) provides a wide range of music tuition programs from our Torquay based music centre located at Applestone Music & Sound.

Tuition is provided by professional teachers and local musicians with many years of playing and performing experience. Our teachers include Rod Scott (guitar), Katie (bass & drums), Steve (guitar & beginning bass), Neil Reed (keyboard, piano, clarinet) and Paul (keyboard, piano).

You can elect to study on one of our national study programs, for example, Rockschool or just learn to play for fun. The choice is yours.

REPAIR CHARGES

Repair prices vary depending on what you have done. The following are examples of charges for work undertaking in the shop and for commonly performed repairs.

Instrument restring £6.00 + parts
Instrument clean & treatment - £10
Instrument tuning - £3.00
Replace Saddle / Nut - £5.00 + part
Replace hardware - £15.00 + parts
Basic set-up - £20 + parts
Full set-up - £35 + parts
Fret redress £65
Fit tremolo & basic setup - £45 + parts
Electronics repair e.g. pickups / wiring etc - £15 + parts
Fit new pickups & re-wire - £10 per pickup + parts

Repairing Your Instrument at Applestone Music & Sound

We can repair most musical instruments in-house at Applestone Music & Sound
Our services include re-stringing of instruments through to full set-ups, advanced repairs, rebuilds and customisation
AMS are main dealers for DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan pickups
Repair prices vary depending on what you have done
Where we cannot repair your instrument in-house we will use an approved local luthier to work on it
We will give you a rough estimate of the repair cost before we start work.

BUY SPARES & PARTS ONLINE

In addition to buying spares and parts from AMS in Torquay, you can also buy on-line from our dedicated spares and parts site at www.guitar-spares.com. This web-site contains over 2000 quality spares and parts for many different instruments. If you don't see what you want, call Cathy on 01803 292050 and she will help you locate the correct items.

Terms and Conditions - Music Tuition

Applestone Recording & Training Studios provide a professional music tuition service to clients and parents. Tuition Fees are payable 1 week in advance so your initial payment will be for two lessons - £20. Thereafter you will pay just £10 per lesson. Please pay your tutor for all lessons .

Cancellation - If you need to cancel your lesson you must do so at least 24 hours prior to your lesson. If you don't, you will lose your tuition fee for that week. Please contact your tutor directly or if unable to reach him or her, contact Cathy at ARTS on 01803 297297
