ARTS-STUDIOS, Torquay

All studio operations are managed and run from AMS on Higher Union Street. We currently operate three studio complexes offering a range of music and music education services. These include:

STUDIO TUITION ENQUIRIES

For all general enquiries about music tuition or studio bookings, please call our main ARTS-Studio number on 01803 29729. Your main points of contact are Aisnly Fisher, Shaun Meyers and Dave Collerton.

MUSIC TUITION ENQUIRIES

Private Music Tuition is provided from our Torquay music school situated within Applestone Music & Sound (AMS), 197 Union Street, Torquay, TQ1 4BY. Private tuition runs from 3.30 - 8.30 most days including Saturday (10.am to 5pm)

REPAIR SERVICES AT AMS

Instrument repairs are performed at AMS, Torquay - 01803 297297. If you have an instrument that requires attention then please bring this into AMS for review / quotation.

VISITING AMS, TORQUAY

The map above shows the location of AMS (Repair Shop and Music Tuition) in Torquay. AMS is on Upper Union Street, Torre, close to the car parks of Brunswick Square and Lymington Road. We are right opposite Lloyds Bank in Torre and about 100m back from B&Q. Torre Sports, another popular shop, is also located about 50m from AMS.

SHORT TERM PARKING AT AMS

It is often possible to park outside of the shop for up to 1 hour. If thisis difficult, there are short term car parks in Bruswick Square - about 299m from the shop and Lymington Road about 350m from the shop.

Did You Know.....

Tim Black has worked with many mainstream artists including Dennis Lavalier (DR HOOK), Joe Brown & His Bruvers, Sam Brown and Pink Floyd. During the summer months, Tim can usually be found at music festivals and concerts around the country - including many Harley Davidson Club Festivals - where he provides live PA and sound engineering support. In addition to providing expert support to the ARTS studio at PCSC, Tim also teaches on our NCFE Level II Music Technology course.

Tim also has his own specialist studio - Rooftop Studios - and is a signed artist. Tim is particulalry interested in Dub and has written several published tracks.
